Othor AI was founded by Unni Koroth, an MIT TR35 awardee and former founder of Foradian, after he identified a critical gap: businesses were data-rich but insights were not reaching decision-makers at the right time. Traditional BI processes were slow, fragmented, and too technical for non-analysts. Development began in September 2024 with a team of three working remotely from Bangalore. The platform is built around three core features: • Business Narratives: transforms raw data into plain-English summaries that highlight key trends and anomalies automatically • Smart Charts: auto-generates and updates visualisations from connected data sources with no manual setup • Chat with Data: lets anyone ask questions about their business data in natural language and get instant answers Vertical Insight Agents deliver real-time, actionable insights across sales, finance, and marketing, acting as a 24/7 team of data experts. Othor is positioned as an AI-native alternative to Tableau, Power BI, and Looker, delivering business intelligence in seconds rather than weeks, using large language models under the hood. The company raised $30K in pre-seed funding in February 2025, followed by a $50K follow-up round in June 2025 from angel investors, and onboarded its first design partner in April 2025. It operates as a remote-first company and is currently accepting early access requests.
