Shodh AI

Shodh AI is a Jaipur-based deep-tech startup selected under the IndiaAI Mission to build sovereign AI for science, Large Science Models that bridge theory and manufacturing. Its flagship Project Skanda, built with NVIDIA on Hopper GPUs and PhysicsNeMo, is one of the world's first mesoscale foundation models for energy storage. Instead of atomic chemistry alone, Skanda models the internal structure inside battery cells, the architecture that drives life, safety, and charging speed, to compress discovery timelines for battery and materials teams. Beyond energy, Shodh AI is building infrastructure to train large neural networks efficiently: simplified training workflows, ensemble integration, live data pipelines for automatic retraining, and cost-optimized model sizing using proprietary algorithms. From India's first autonomous robotic material foundry to zero-shot manufacturing, Shodh AI is pushing beyond language models into Physical AI, built in India, built for the world.
